Engaging with education

Arts Council England have been developing a series of new leaflets for the arts sector.

The leaflets are designed to help practitioners understand and engage with the following:

Using Foundation Degrees to meet higher level creative and technical skills shortages within the arts sector.

Supporting arts organisations to identify and access funding opportunities for training.

Following on from this they intend to develop a more in-depth guide for the arts sector on providing Diploma opportunities for young people. These will be very practical guides around what work-based learning is, how to deliver work experience, how to work with the curriculum, working with consortia, health and safety and so on. We expect this to be available later in 2008.
