About Us

Cumbria Arts in Education (CAE) was established in 1992 as an independent charitable trust. We exist to increase the opportunities for young people in Cumbria to realise their creative potential through the support of professional artists and cultural organisations.


We aim to work:

• With a wide range of education providers and young people throughout Cumbria
• Across all art forms
• In partnership with a wide range of individuals and organisations

We can:

• Help fund your artist in residency project in school
• Provide advice for planning an arts project
• Provide training for both artists and teachers to help create successful projects
• Signpost you to other relevant sources of information
